Introduction

After reading the XKCD cartoon introducing the idea of geohashing I wanted to get a GPS unit and start geohashing and geocaching. Finally, late in the summer of 2008 I purchased a Garmin eTrex Venture Cx. Now I can join in on the fun.

Bishop Wash earned the Drag-along achievement by dragging my wife to the (34, -106) geohash on 2008-09-20.

Bishop Wash achieved level 1 of the Minesweeper Geohash achievement by visiting coordinates in Albuquerque/Santa Fe, New Mexico and 1 of the surrounding graticules.

Bishop Wash earned the Restricted area achievement by accessing the (35, -106) geohash at a restricted Kirtland AFB site on 2008-09-22.
