Expedition planning / Upcoming locations

2009-05-24

Hey Ekorren! Are you going Geohashing on Sunday? Me and srs0 are going to be there around 14:00, you should come! I'll bring the Nibs! Thepiguy 16:35, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

I can't convince you to take another day instead? I really look forward to meet you guys some day, but going to the sunday location is basically the lowest worth I can get out of the money for a ticket. There are dozens of places each week I would more like to go and possibly meet you, including Würzburg. Also, there is a considerable risk of "no trespassing" there and I'm not going to play any "it might as well be on this side of the fence" games against better knowledge. --Ekorren 16:53, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
The hashpoint looks like it could be on a Streuobstwiese which is, as Ekorren pointed out, quite likely to be fenced. Nevertheless I could come although I'd have to buy a ticket because it's outside my area of operation where I can use public transport for free. I would definitely like to meet you (and am willing to come to 49,9) but I'm not sure that 2009-05-24-48-9 is the best opportunity. I'm looking forward to meet you, but probably not on Sunday. --nick_mz 18:48, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Darn, maybe we'll head over another time if you both think it's fenced. We're both here until the end of December, so there's lots of time for a meetup! Just let us know when and where and we'll do it! Thepiguy 19:01, 22 May 2009 (UTC)
Sure. I'll also keep an eye on the hashs in your graticule. Your tours in Canada are very impressive! It reminded me of adding that I don't have my bike here in Tübingen and usually have to walk from the next bus stop or train station... --nick_mz 19:16, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Anyone seriously interested in this one? It's conveniently located in Dettingen/Erms, but bears a considerable risk of being fenced. I'll rather not go. --Ekorren 16:40, 28 May 2009 (UTC)

@ Ekorren, responding to User talk:thepiguy, I was somewhat considering doing the Stuttgart hashpoint tomorrow, though I'm not really sure, yet. At what time do you plan to be there? Koepfel talk 16:33, 29 May 2009 (UTC)

At the moment, I'm not planning to be there at all, unless the Würzburg people will come also. I actually don't expect them making a decision in time. It could have been well combined with the Kempten hashpoint, but there are good reasons not to attempt that tomorrow. I might be most interested in the sunday double along the Donau valley at the moment. --Ekorren 16:48, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
We will be there at 16:00. We still don't have internet, which makes it hard to edit wiki's. Thepiguy 06:54, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
Sorry, I won't make it. Have a nice expedition, though. Koepfel talk 08:35, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
I won't be there. Give a few more hours of advance notice, please, next time. --Ekorren 10:06, 30 May 2009 (UTC)

It's the lazy public transport hash! Just catch a train from Ulm direction Stuttgart and be there. Get off whereever you like. Conveniently located also on the way to and from epic Eibsee hash. Don't miss that one!

Tübingen based hashers might otherwise want to go into the Rammert forest for 48,8 hashes, either on sunday (near Rottenburg) or on monday (near Rangendingen).
