So to clairify, neither store-bought pie nor other homemade baked goods qualify for the achievement? I am happy to exclude the former, because I favour achievements that require personal effort and planning over those that allow you to grab something at a convenience store on the way to the geohash. But it seems a shame not to honour the beautiful geohashing cakes some people have made. -Robyn 22:55, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

As far as I understood, "other homemade baked goods" qualify, too: the template lets you chose "type of pastry baked and offered". And in my opinion it has to be baked by the geohasher him/herself, not bought. - Danatar 00:03, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

So why does the template contradict the achievement description, which only specifies pie. -24.83.1.77 00:51, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Was this intended as a Pi Day ribbon, or any time of year? -Robyn 04:00, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
I don't know how it was intended, but in the Template it says "Bonus points for doing this on Pi day", which means any other day is acceptable. I would favour including this and the expansion including any kind of home-made bakery in the description (and will just do so, if no one objects soon). Maybe then this achievement will be more widely used - and I get the opportunity of eating more cake etc. at geohashes which is vitally important of course! --HiroProtagonist 18:10, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

I'd just like to add my vote that any baked good made by the person claiming the ribbon and offered to others at the hashpoint should qualify. If I don't see any objections soon, I'll edit the achievement page to reflect this (as HiroProtagonist previously threatened to do). --Eldin (talk) 15:26, 23 August 2013 (EDT)
