About

This Geohash point is about 5 miles from where I work. It is in a back yard in Marietta. I made it out at lunch time to the hash point.

Expedition

This Geohash point turns out to be in a backyard. Google maps has it on a street. I drove out to this supposed street and as I attempted to turn on this street, I noticed a mail box. Streets are not supposed to have mail boxes at the end of them. I parked next to the mail box and walked up the drive way.

I knocked on the front door and Steve the homeowner came out of the garage entry way. I introduced myself and explained a little about what Geohashing is about. I told him that I wanted to make it to a coordinate that is in his back yard.

Steve explained that he had two big dogs that probably didn't want me there. I told him that I could accept the No-Trespassing Geohash and would be on my way. He said that I could try to see if his dog would let me. I walked around the front of the house to the back yard and with their front paws on the top part of the fence were these two big Doberman's. I walked up to the fence and neither of them barked. I leaned my head over the fence and got a big O' slobber from one of the dogs up the side of my head.

Steve said that he didn't think that they would mind. From the fence to the hash point was 175 feet. We walked the distance and I found the point about 5 feet off of the paved driveway that lead to a back garage.

I took a few picture and then asked Steve to take a picture of me. I bent over to pet one of the dogs just as Steve snapped the picture.

I thanked him and then made my way back to work in Kennesaw.
