Plans

Jevanyn: I'll have Kyukket's car, and it's not that far for me. Z and I talked over Facebook and agreed to meet between 12 and 12:30.

Expedition

When I pulled into the parking lot, Z was waiting right at the geohash, between a couple of trees near the entrance. I didn't recognize him at first without the bicycle helmet, but decided it had to be him because there was no other reason to be standing where he was. And I think he recognized me from the description of Kyukket's car.

The rain had mostly stopped by now, but it was still cold and raw, so we trotted over to Aljon's pizzaria. Z said he hadn't been there since a fire in the strip mall the year before, so he didn't know if it was any good. (The fire would explain the patchy-looking roof of the mall; the satellite photos may have been during or after the roof was repaired.) The three of us each got a slice, talked about geohashing and the economy, then broke out cards for a game of Go Fish. Evan broke out to a big lead and beat us both, even though he almost gave away some of the cards he'd won.

A good time was had by all.
