Plans

I checked real quick while leaving work and saw that the hash was pretty close to my home. Knowing that my wife was going to be gone all evening, I decided to take the kids and make a quick trip to see if it was reachable. I just got the briefest of directions from the map, and decided to just follow the GPS from there. I think that adds a little more fun to the hunt. If I go knowing that it isn't reachable, then I end up talking myself out of doing anything.

Expedition

I picked up the kids and we headed down to Chesapeake. It didn't take long to get to the right area, and only a little aimless wandering around a few neighborhoods to get as close as roads could take me. We ended up in the parking lot of a condo complex and the hash was another .17mi into the woods. Had it just been me, or even me and my 7 yr old daughter, we could have hiked in and gotten it. But with the 4yr old with me, it was rainy and pretty cold, I just didn't think we could handle it. Seems like I keep getting stuck with the kids when I get to a reachable hash.

I took a few photos and we headed back home.
