Location

A few tens of feet west of the very end of FIM Boulevard in Fort Walton Beach

Participants

  • Liberian
  • A non-geohashing friend of Liberian who can edit this if he wants to

Plans

There weren't any real plans. Liberian called a friend he hadn't seen in several months and asked if he was interested in coming along. The friend was interested although the friend's wife wasn't.

Expedition

Liberian showed up at the corner of Beal Parkway Extension and FIM Boulevard at 4:00. A few minutes later the friend showed up riding a bicycle. After a bit of catching up on news, they embarked--one in a car, the other on a bicycle since neither vehicle could carry the other--and went most of the remaining seven-eighths of a mile to the location. About a tenth of a mile short the "Boulevard," having gone from paved to gravel to dirt with serious potholes, got bad enough that Liberian didn't trust his car to it. They parked the vehicles and walked the rest of the way. It was rather uneventful, all in all, as long as one ignored all the "Keep Out" signs on the other side of the road.
