Expedition
Pastori's and The Wife's weekend had been very strenous due to helping their daughter move 500 km away and all the driving and carrying of stuff and such related to it. Because of this they were very tired in the Monday morning, so they needed some kind of relaxing and restful activity. So on to geohashing! Our own graticule's hashpoint seemed to be about 20 km away as birds fly.
With berry- and mushroom picking equipment they started their journey. It was a 36 km drive and then about 700 meters of walking on a roadbed that had overgrown with bushes. And there the point was! The tall spruce forest didn't allow but 17 meters of accuracy. For a second even 11 meters was on the screen, but we didn't get a picture of that. The walk was easy in beautiful sunlight and we got some bilberries, lingonberries and mushrooms on the way.
Our expedition then continued towards the Hiidenportti National Park and its sights. It was a 70 km drive there. After hiking about three kilometers, admiring the views and cooking some sausages on campfire, we turned the car homewards. But look at that! There was another hashpoint on our route - would we still need some additional relaxment, because the spot seemed to be in a swamp with ditches about 450 meters from the road, in the midst of the kingdom of deer flys? The Wife settled the matter when she said: We shall go there!
