So, I'm idly browsing the internet on a Sunday night, never having actually done any geohashing before. I'd heard about it a while back, but how I got onto this website, I don't remember.
I looked up the geohash co-ordinates for today, and by pure chance it's a few minutes down the road. Time to finish my pint and set out in the black of night on the Sunday before work to aid the general effort, right?

The street just outside my house facing towards the geohash point. Conditions not too cold.
Walking up a few minutes to the roundabout by Manteo Way. I could have gone to Tesco at this point. Nope. To the field we go!
The lane on the far side was really dark and also a 60, so I stuck to the edge. Next time I'll wear something reflecting and/or just go in the daytime like a normal person.
Round the corner and here's the lane turnoff. I inched my way up a fence on the right side here...
.... vaulted a fence and got to the gate to the field. This was extremely slippery and I nearly planked, camera and all.
This is the hash point. What glorious turf.
Looking from the hash point back towards Bideford. The view wouldn't have been much better in the day, it was mostly hedge.
Arrival time! With hashpoint grass. Yay.
Me in the field on a Sunday night. Camera flash ruined my night vision. But it's the spirit of the thing. Right? Right????
Back at home, my shoes definitely had the worst of it. Been raining all week, what did I expect?
