A 40 + 40 minute walk to reach the hashpoint and return using farm tracks.
The Wikipedia page on leap seconds is interesting. It's what you get when you mix software engineers, astronomers, atomic physicists, politicians and local interest groups together; a right Barney! And GPS time doesn't do leap seconds so it'll be guesswork when to start my partying in the wood.
