Geohashers
Pictures
Seven of us went as far upstream as possible into Oneonta Gorge. There's a waterfall with a pool, and a ledge which you can climb on if you're willing to swim out there. Six of us were willing to swim out there:
Once there, we were pretty pleased to be there. I know that I was particularly pleased to be out of the numbingly cold water.
The blurriness of the pictures here were completely not the fault of the cameraman (the seventh geohasher who was, probably wisely, unwilling to swim out to the ledge.) The air in the immediate area of the waterfall was full of a fine, cold mist which was drawn to the lens like a magnet. Yes, a water magnet, smartypants.
The triumphant return, still dripping wet from the swim:
Back far enough from the falls to get a decent shot without mist on the lens.
