Plans

There were no original plans, since I first discoverd this hash whilst having a coffee this morning...

Expedition

After getting up this morning, I drank some coffee and checked the hash-locations for this weekend... What? Is this real? Three hashes in my expanded home zone – looks like some consecutive founds will be in there for me too, shortly after being jealous of some fellow hashers in Australia hehe... does there exist a hash god who heard my prayers? Just kidding...

So, 11 am I drove to Oetmannshausen, parked my car at the main street and started to do a nice walk, which would end up in something more than 8 kilometers... For years, there would have been quite an easy way leading directly to the hash, but since there's a new highway being build here, I needed to explore new paths and walk a detour. This was fine with me, since it brought me to places where I had never been before and I could enjoy several great scenic views on this new highway, which exists of bridges and tunnels mostly and will therefore be the most expensive road in entire Germany! It's crazy, how millions and millions of Euros (all our taxes!) are being pumped into this project...

I had expected the hash would be on a field, but luckily this was just a meadow where cows walk around during summer, without any fences, so I could walk over this meadow to the hash location directly and since this was an open field, I didn't even need to do a hash dance to get extremely accurate... Took some photos for evidence and then turned back... On my way back I made another detour, since I found this area very attractive and wanted to explore it something more...

Since I'm also into geocaching and have a project there, which is called solitary benches, I am always on the lookout for such benches, that are as far away from any civilization as possible, and hide a geocache there – today, I located three spots! So, pretty soon, I'll be walking in that area again, hide some geocaches and get them listed...

That's all for now – I'm looking forward to the next two days and hope I'll be successful on those hashes as well!
