Plans

I will drive to Eschenstruth before work and do a little walk to the hash. Should be an easy one...

Expedition

As planned, I drove to Eschenstruth and arrived there 11 am, parked my car and started to walk to the hash. Having studied the map yesterday evening, I thought I had the best route stored in my mind, but obviously I made a mistake and after walking some 2 kilometer I got this strange feeling "is this the right way?"... I checked the Geohash App and wtf - I turned on a completely false route hehe. It doesn't happen that often, but when it occurs, it's always bad timing! Needed to be at work 12:30 pm and now I am walking rather away from the hash instead of to the hash! Oh man!

So, after a detour I got back on the right path and from there it were some 2 kilometers, straight to the hash, which I located pretty easily, being right on the path that I was following. Took some pics and gps evidence and then realized that I was going to be too late for work, so I contacted a collegue and said I was probably at work some 15 minutes too late... He would inform the chief and all was fine so I could walk back to my car without any rush...

Again, this was an easy expedition and the little detour didn't bother me at all, even if it took me uphill and made me sweat!
