I will take the train to Basel and cycle the remaining distance to the geohash. I expect to be there around 13:30.

Expedition

I crossed the France-Switzerland border with the train and arrived in Basel at 10:08. After pondering on which bank of the Rhine to travel, I decided to go where data roaming is free. So I crossed the river and the Switzerland-Germany border and cycled along the right bank of the Rhine until Laufenburg.

Laufenburg used to be a city on the Rhine until someone decided to put a border there. Now it is divided into two homonymous towns, connected by an old stone bridge and a newer, lopsided, concrete bridge.

Now back in Switzerland, I left the river and entered the Mettau Valley (Mettauertal, which is also the name of the municipality) and arrived in Oberhofen shortly after.

The coordinates were located on the edge of a meadow, on a hill above the village. To my surprise, I noticed that someone had recently trampled the grass on that spot.

After recording proof, as the weather started to quickly deteriorating, I cycled back to Laufenburg and took a train back home.
