For the first time this autumn, it was properly snowing today. I planned to cycle to this hashpoint in the forenoon when the snowing would be mild, as it was forecasted to get stronger towards the evening. A couple of centimetres of snow would not be much of a hindrance, so I could just dress warmly enough and leave.

I made my way to the hashpoint via the suburbs of Oulu and Kempele and stopped at three geocaches. The first one was easy and quick. The second one was located by a trail along which I thought I could cycle, but it was rocky enough that I would probably have needed a fatbike, so I had to walk the bicycle. The third one was on an artificial hill and likely under snow or lost altogether, and I could not find it. I also went by the location of 2023-03-05 64 25 and stopped to take a picture, but I did not visit the exact coordinates this time.

I parked the bicycle to the roadside and walked along a trail towards the bog. There were a couple of wide ditches, but since they were frozen, I could just walk over them. The bog was also frozen, which was convenient because otherwise it would likely have been wet. I took proof pictures and returned to the bicycle following my footprints.

I cycled back to Oulu along a different route and found two multicaches on the way. Finally, I went to the grocery store before heading home where I had a warm sauna waiting for me. The snowfall of the day was about five centimetres or two inches.

According to the GPS receiver, the distance of the trip was 24.2 km, of which I cycled 23.1 km and walked 1.1 km in total.
