Plans

I'll drive to Bothwell at some point in the day, which won't take long. There's free (I think) parking nearby, which I can use. I plan to post something through the front door, possibly explaining why I was there. Hopefully this doesn't upset the owners of the house. I should reach the geohash whilst doing so, so it's not a situation in which I need to ask them to access their property, but if they happen to be nearby whilst I am doing this, I will do so. I'll then potentially explore the surrounding area before driving home.

Expedition

The expedition went fairly well. It took a while to actually get to Bothwell as the roads near me are a nightmare at the moment, but I made it with no major issues. The car park was free, as I had assumed, and there were a couple of spaces available. I walked from the car park through the Gilchrist Garden, in which I saw a helpfully labelled Ginkgo Biloba. The garden was donated to Bothwell by Dr Marion Gilchrist in 1940. I took photographs of the information presented in the garden.

The garden led directly onto the street the house belonged to, and finding the house itself was easy. There wasn't a car in the driveway, so I didn't knock to ask anyone for permission, but I went up to the front door and posted a note through the letterbox. As I did so, I reached the geohash. My screenshot of proof was taken standing on the doorstep. The note explained what geohashing was and provided a link to the wiki, as well as a link to this page. Hello if you're reading this! You can leave a message here if you want, just press the Save Page button after you're done!

I didn't take any photographs at the house itself to protect the privacy of the residents, but I took a late Bereal as I walked back through the Gilchrist Garden. I then walked back to my car after sitting down for a couple of minutes and drove home.
