Some luck: an accessible hashpoint right in central London, 15 minutes on the Underground from Kings Cross, on a day we're going down to London for a visit. We didn't quite have time to hit this hashpoint just after we arrived in the afternoon, so we took a shot at it as our last activity before heading back to Katja's place for the night. The spot, right in the financial district, would have been much busier at 4:30 pm than it was at 10:30 pm. It was a lovely warm spring evening. There were still people out meandering, but it was pretty quiet overall.
The hashpoint seemed clearly to be under the awning of a building on the west side of Wood St. north of London Wall. The GPS was confused by the tall buildings and overhangs, and usually put our blue dot on the east side of the street though we were clearly standing on the west side. It was hard to tell from the map whether the target was just inside the glass-walled building or just outside, and also whether it was just south of the boxed-in construction enclosure or just inside it. We settled on just outside in both cases based on the marked location with respect to Wood St and Monkwell Pl. An assortment of proof-screenshots, a group selfie, and round-the-compass photos from the spot satisfied the geohash requirements. We visited an old section of London Wall and the Salters' Garden before heading back to the Underground station to go home.
