On a little knob in the far northwest corner of the Valles Caldera National Preserve.

Plans
Wasn't really planning on doing the hash in my home graticule since the one to the south was so accessible, but I had scouted it out and was pretty sure that it was reachable. After doing the first one, the boy was eager to go find another hash, so I obliged.
Expedition
After hitting the Los Lunas hash in the morning, I was hanging out with the boy and he was raring to try for another one. I checked that it was okay with the wife, and we headed north for the Jemez Mountains. We got to La Cueva in pretty good time, and I got a little concerned when I found that they were doing a controlled burn on the flanks of Redondo Peak. It turned out that it wasn't an issue, thankfully. We headed for FR 144, then drove north on the fairly good dirt road for another 10 miles or so. It got fairly rough just towards the end, but we found ourselves at the entrance gate for Valles Caldera National Preserve. I loaded the boy in the backpack and we headed for the hill. We followed some of the roads (which bore little or no resemblance to the roads on my map) for a while, then headed into the forest when I got about as close as I figured they could get me. We climbed up the hill and found the hash, then made a beeline back to the car to head for home.
