Not much of a plan, really. Just go there by train, maybe try to be there at 16:00, but we'll see what the day brings.
Expedition
Mostly uneventful, as expected - Ludwigshafen is an industrial city with many abandoned buildings. Almost every street I walked through gave me the feeling that I was about to get mugged behind the next corner. The rainy weather didn't help. On a bridge over the Rhine I met an old man in a wheelchair who was 14 when World War II ended and who now dedicates his life searching for some of the 1.3 million German soldiers still missing from that war. He told me that last year, the organization he works for has found and identified 70 of them.
I found the coordinates and waited until 16:00, but nobody else came (which disappointed me a bit, since the spot was easily reachable and in an urban area). I then walked back to the city center and bought a scarf and a sports jacket (the two only reasons I ever go to Ludwigshafen or Mannheim are geohashing and shopping) before I took the train home.

This piece of art struck me as an analogy to many buildings in Ludwigshafen. Somebody really loved it and paid a lot of money for it. I just cannot see why.
