After my adventures in the north, I arrived home early enough to still do this expedition, so I cycled west towards Lotte, looking at the sun setting before me.

This was supposed to be a Tron expedition, so when I arrived at the forest, I took my bicycle with me inside, planning to push it through to the next path on the other side. That proved to be difficult. Unlike the easy mode forest that I had encountered earlier today, the maybe-path that led me into this forest was full of thistles, stinging nettles and blackberries. I was wearing shorts.

Instead of getting better, it got worse. Before long I had stepped into a deep puddle, soaking one of my feet with muddy water. Did I mention that it was completely dark now? Getting the bike over fallen trees was difficult too, but I managed the first two times. However, at this point I abandoned the Tron achievement, figuring that I would never make it all the way through to the next path. I'd be lucky to get the bike out of the path where I came from in the first place. So I left the bike with the front light on so that I'd be able to find it later. It was easier to continue on foot, but not easy. I almost fell once, which would not have been pretty.

The site of the Geohash was actually comparatively tame, just regular blackberries. After locating the coordinates and recording proof, I tried going back to my bike, which was less trivial than I thought, somehow I could not find the route that I came from. But with the help of my tracklog, I spotted the light after a while and made it back to the bike. Now I just had to get it out and back onto the main path again. On the way out, I stepped into those deep puddles again, this time soaking both of my feet.

In the end, I made it out of the forest again. Wet feet, cut and stung legs and overall just exhausted, now I just hade to cycle home. Which I did barefoot, because I figured cycling barefoot would eat cycling in wet shoes. I made it back home in one piece - rarely has a shower felt so good.
