Wow, just wow. What an awesome expedition, and even better report and excellent pictures! This layout with the pictures in the middle looks very good. You are quite an adventurer, sleeping in the cabins and lean-tos. Do you get locations of them beforehand, or are there so many of them in the German forests that you can always find one? If I need to spend the night somewhere outside, I look for such places at http://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=10/51.3156/9.5025. The map doesn't show all of them, so sometimes I find better ones at local maps and in some regions the shelters of bus stops are wrong tagged, so I have to be critically about shelters at or near roads.
