This is possibly the geohash point hit by the most people in a day *ever*.  It's in the Bay Bridge Toll Plaza, between the toolbooths and the metering lights, in the #2 or #3 lane.  Average daily traffic over the bridge is about 200,000, and there are fewer than 20 lanes, so that's probably 10,000 people who crossed over, or very near, that point.  I had been planning to go to the [http://dickensfair.com/ Dickens Fair] that day, anyway, so getting the point was merely a matter of choosing the correct lane at the toll plaza.

What an amazing location!  Anthony will need to tell us the details!

I got the hashes on November 25th and 28th - I'll post the details sometime this week. The 26th was on a turnout on Golf Links Road in Oakland, and the 28th was at the Bay Bridge Toll Plaza. Probably 5,000 to 10,000 people went through the 28th's hashpoint that day. Anthony 14:18, 30 November 2009 (UTC)

Expedition

This is possibly the geohash point hit by the most people in a day *ever*. It's in the Bay Bridge Toll Plaza, between the toolbooths and the metering lights, in the #2 or #3 lane. Average daily traffic over the bridge is about 200,000, and there are fewer than 20 lanes, so that's probably 10,000 people who crossed over, or very near, that point. I had been planning to go to the Dickens Fair that day, anyway, so getting the point was merely a matter of choosing the correct lane at the toll plaza.

Unfortunately, as I was driving, I was unable to take photos of either the location or my GPS unit. I've posted a KMZ file of this expedition here.
