Our first problem was not actually getting out on the proper day. We were about 24 hours late for the geo hash as we didn't leave until noon on April 9th.  However April 9th's hash was back out in the Atlantic so we determined to ignore it and go with yesterday's hash.  My justification is, on a holiday long weekend Monday is functionally equivalent to the previous Sunday.

Plans

The plan was to head out to our first Geohash by driving out to the end of "unamed road" and bushwacking the last few hundred meters. I was thrilled to see that the day's location was so accessible.

Retro expedition

Our first problem was not actually getting out on the proper day. We were about 24 hours late for the geo hash as we didn't leave until noon on April 9th. However April 9th's hash was back out in the Atlantic so we determined to ignore it and go with yesterday's hash. My justification is, on a holiday long weekend Monday is functionally equivalent to the previous Sunday.
