On the last day of my temporary job at a farm near Stockbridge, I realised that the hash for that day was (as I then thought) in one of the fields owned by the farm. Excited at the prospect of laying my name in Hashtory, I set off with my parents after work to try and get there. To my immense disappointment, I found that not only was the field the one adjacent to the farm I worked on, it was also property of the MOD. I've done some stupid things in my time, but seriously, trespassing over two barbed wire fences into a field owned by guys with really big guns is a bit beyond me. By crawling through a (publically owned!) hedge, I managed to get within 3m of the hash, but no further. Therefore, I am claiming the [[No Trespassing Geohash Consolation Prize]] and an honorable mention for the [[Cubicle Geohash]], the hash being less than 50m from the field boundary to the farm where I worked.

All in all, immensely frustrating, but not discouraging, as I'll still be hashing in the future. But not for two weeks. I'm on holiday for two weeks. Lord I hope there isn't a hash in my house while I'm away. I actually worry about this stuff now.

Expedition

Therefore, I am claiming the No Trespassing Geohash Consolation Prize and an honorable mention for the Cubicle Geohash, the hash being less than 50m from the field boundary to the farm where I worked.

All in all, immensely frustrating, but not discouraging, as I'll still be hashing in the future. But not for two weeks. I'm on holiday for two weeks. Lord I hope there isn't a hash in my house while I'm away. I actually worry about this stuff now.
