Plans

I spotted the location in the location and Tweeted it. After getting home from work, I pitched the idea of popping out and back quickly. As close as the location was, I figured 60 to 90 minutes round trip. I pitched it to "the team" (re: asked permission from my wife), and left at 7 PM. I was expecting to take one of the kids, but neither was interested.

Expedition

I didn't know I didn't have battery charge until I got there. Found the spot easily and left a nice bug XKCD marker, spelled out with dead wood lying around. I posted a message from onsite (see below), but again with low change I did not have a GPS geotag. You'll have to take my word for it :-)

What was originally scouted as power lines turned out to be a buried natural gas pipeline.
