Plans

Shane and Bryn are attempting a double-hash by cycling from North Berwick station via 2013-04-02 56 -2 and 2013-04-02 56 -3 to Larbert Station.

Expedition

.... After our earlier success we were headed for our second geohash of the day. Somewhere along the North Edinburgh Cycle Network, one of us began to feel a little tired. (In order to maintain an element of tension, no revelation will be made as to who was feeling tired.) We elected to divert to Haymarket Railway Station to help us on our way. There we were just in time for a train to take us to Camelon. Once off the train we had to cross the River Carron. The inevitable exchange went thus:

  • WHAT is your name?
  • WHAT is your quest?
    • We seek our second geohash of the day!
  • WHAT is the point of that?
    • Absolutely no idea!
  • CORRECT - you may cross!

We found the bend in the road easily enough, but the location was still a few metres away. We found a convenient place to climb the fence. This field was just short grass, so again no problems there. When we got to the spot we found that it had been bagged already. We don't think a black polythene bag can have been delivered accurately from space though. Again we labelled it correctly. We headed off to Larbert station for the trip home.
