My plan is to hop on (probably) a MAX arriving around 6:09 PM at Beaverton Transit Center, and then walk over to the hashpoint, then continue over to Beaverton Central and catch a MAX train towards Hillsboro. Does that fit in with your plans? Jiml (talk) 14:27, 10 June 2013 (EDT)

Yes, this sounds great! Is there any sort of achievement that's possible to get with this? This is only going to be my second geohash ever, so I'm fairly excited. zhukant (talk) 14:51, 10 June 2013 (EDT)

Probably just the Land geohash achievement as well as Public transport geohash achievement, unless you do something individual like Circus geohash. We'll probably have more people than in a year or two, but not our largest get-together, I thnk. Jiml (talk) 15:03, 10 June 2013 (EDT)

It's a lot closer to Beaverton Central, so I'll probably actually grab a Blue line to there. If I was going to Beav TC, I could have hopped a Red line. With work I could probably still do a Tron achievement, but I'm not feeling very inspired. Jiml (talk) 15:40, 10 June 2013 (EDT)

Expedition

zhukant took the MAX train from downtown Portland to Beaverton Central, where he met Jiml for the first time at the geohash. The geohash itself was a multi-use parking lot for several adjacent businesses, but the hash itself seemed to be in the section of the lot dedicated to a small car dealership overflow zone. It was pretty hard to understand what it was, but that was the impression the two hashers got. We also explored the nearby food area by the MAX station. Quite an inviting area of Beaverton!
