She was dissapointed to find out I was geohashing, mainly because she had to be at work soon and thus couldn't go along. I stair-stepped over to Veterans Parkway, which took me most of the way into Romeoville. That lead me to a beautiful bicycle path that ran beneath some power lines before hopping onto the residential streets near the school. I pulled up to the rear parking lot just before 4pm. Although there were some kids in the fields, they seemed more interested in playing soccer than the nearby geohash screaming out for attention. I sat down in the shade of a tree to rest a bit and wait for DolphinTreasure to show.

We followed the hashdroid app along the left field fence of a baseball field until it yelled at us to stop. Somewhere within our 9 foot margin of error lay the exact spot! We posed for a photo with Collin and Geo and left a business card marker I printed up ahead of time in case anyone stopped by later. We must have been quite the sight: a grown man and woman pulling up on a bike to play with stuffed animals and take a selfie with them on a fence.

Before DolphinTreasure headed for work, we sat in the grass together for 10 minutes or so just to enjoy the beautiful weather. Expedition

I was pleased to find the day's hashpoint in an area I'm very familiar with. It just so happened to fall in the sports fields behind the middle school I went to as a kid. Combined with pleasent weather, a day off of work, and a rather close hashpoint, it all added up to my first bike-hash!

As I readied my trusty stead for the perilous journey to the next town over, my sister came downstairs asking where I was heading. She was dissapointed to find out I was geohashing, mainly because she had to be at work soon and thus couldn't go along. Instead, she entrusted me to see that her handmade hash-chicken, Geo, made it to the hashpoint in her place. As I pondered whether or not that counted as a Puppet Master honerable mention, I arranged to meet DolphinTreasure there and set off.

After around 10 minutes, her familiar green car pulled in and it was off to find the hash point!

Then it was a rather uneventful ride home just in time to be called in to work myself, although when I arrived, all had been taken care of. So I had myself a victory milkshake instead!
