Location

Right near some railroad tracks in Fullerton, CA

Participants

St. Oopid (talk)

Plans

No plans, just a last-minute impulse to try a location which was within easy distance

Expedition

My first effort. The location was near a small street between some industrial buildings and a railroad track -- my phone's GPS was a little twitchy, but I think the actual location was in the stony banked area right next to the tracks -- I'm going to claim success, to within my ability to measure. While I was hanging out to see if other geohashers would happen to show up, a train went by. In the 'burbs lots of tracks are unused and the trains on the remaining tracks are usually short; this train had reached 70+ cars by the time it came to a stop (and I still could not see the end). I didn't meet any other geohashers, but a family did drive up to let their little boys watch the train rumble past.
