Location

A wooded hillside north of Grafton, New Hampshire, USA

Participants

Expedition

After a couple of failures it looked like this one had a decent shot, and it was only about 10 miles away. Thomas agreed to come along and try out geohashing, though the rest of the usual crowd opted out. Thankfully we encountered no Private Road or No Trespassing signs; the worst we saw was No Hunting, and we were planning to obey that directive anyway.

The hashpoint was in woods on the side of a hill, about 2000 feet from the nearest road. That road turned out to be gravel but wide and well-maintained, and while quite a few people lived along it there was also a bunch of woods frontage. We chose a promising-looking woods road as our entry point. After about a half hour in the woods, on a combination of old woods roads and light bushwhacking, we found the hashpoint next to a big white pine. Failure string broken!
