Expedition

My friend 808KOH is currently in Melbourne to study and I thought it would be a perfect time to try and get a Puppet Master Geohash achievement! He's no stranger to geohashing, having heard me talk about it, but he's never been on an expedition before. There were a few opportunities to send him out prior to this one, but they weren't as close to the city centre. This was just 8km north of his place. At 4AM Singapore Standard Time (SST) I sent him a geohash alert with a few pictures of the area and the address. Now I owe him big for this one because he had to fork out an extra AUD$10 for more mobile data just for this geohashing trip. (Yes, No Batteries could have been done, but he insisted on getting the coordinates right, so I'm not sure why I would still owe him D:<) He said he'd get back to me when his lessons ended at noon SST.

Woke up late at 1.30PM SST, 808KOH was waiting for the first of two trams to get there. He kept me updated with pictures of the journey through Whatsapp, and at 2.45PM SST (4.45PM Melbourne time) 808KOH reached the hashpoint. Success!
