Being Wednesday, it was trivia night and all day I was seriously considering another attempt at a midnight hash. By the end of the work day, I had figured out that I would be able to get to the hash and still have plenty of time to get to trivia. I wasn't too keen on being tired and driving home after midnight and the way the fields by the hash were set up, I was half expecting posted signs along the railroad tracks.

I decided to try in the daylight and I'm glad I did. Getting there, I saw there were no posted signs along the road but getting down to the tracks was a bit muddy and slippery. Then, at the tracks, there was a very wide ditch filled with swampy, disgusting looking water. Nearby, were some giant concrete drain pipe fittings which helped get me across. This would have all been pretty hairy in the dark.

Walking down the tracks a bit to get closer to the hash, I saw the pussy willows starting to bloom. I tried to get a pic but it didn't really come out. Finding an easy way into the field by the hash, I saw old cut corn stalks so there was no need to worry about any crop damage. I easily made it to the hash and even got the elusive 0.00 feet to go reading.

Mission accomplished, I drove back to Buffalo and had dinner at the bar before we came in a paltry 10th place in trivia.

Getting a good location the next day, this is now the first expedition in my third set of consecutive hashes.
