We all know that 52, 4 is a horrible place to geohash. About 50% of the time the hash is in the North Sea and the other 50% of the time it lands in the middle of a cow pasture with no access. The other 10% (yes, I did the math correctly!) it lands too far away and on an inconvenient day. So when I did the routine check for the hash and saw it was in the middle of a field I just thought... mooh! But when I zoomed in on the map there was a footpath, right in that field. No way you get that lucky on a vacation day!

So plans were made and a trail of geocaches nearby was available for a nice walk. Of course when I entered the field there was a great herd of cows and I wondered whether they would let me pass. A great deal of mooh-ing was my deal and some looked a bit like they were going to charge. Especially when the young bulls in the next field started running. I did the old trick and spoke the magical words: "Hallo lief paardje" ("Hello nice horse") which will immediately confuse the cow so that it will just stand rooted to the ground. It worked!

Plans

Walk through the field and hope that the hash is not occupied by a cow (or worse).

Expedition

It worked!

To my great luck the hash was even located in a deserted piece of grassland. Yeah! The dance was uneventful and the hasher forgot to put a stupid grin on his face. There was a tower however!
