Plans

Drive to Wiebelsheim and walk to the hash.

Expedition

I've been in Neuwied at my mother this weekend and I had to drive along the A61 home again. To my excitement the hash was just 4 KM of the Autobahn and very easy accessible. I left the Autobahn at Lauert, drove for 2 KM and parked little car next to the church of Wiebelsheim. It was a very sunny weather, temperature was around 0°C (so I think I can't claim a frozen-achievement), hardly any wind, but al lot of snow. All in all great walking circumstances. Next to Wirbels heim I found a wide open area, I think there are fields usually, but today you see nothing but snow. I had to walk for 2 KM to the hash. After 1 KM there was a barn, and just behind the fence, that was behind the barn, a deer looked through a fence. I took a picture but it doesn't move at all. I already believed that it wasn't alive and walked closer, but then it turned around and run away. I'm not sure, wether the deer was wild or fenced.

I left the path five minutes later and walked into the ankle deep snow to the hash. A proof and some pictures, then I returned to Wiebelsheim in a wide bow. So I hardly crossed my own path from the car and back, but as I didn't live in Wiebelsheim (thanks god), that has nothing to do with a torn achievement. Two kilometers further I was back on the autobahn and continued my way home.

Tracklog

3 KM walking. I didn't track the 4 KM detour by car.
