Good mate Kathryn and I had just finished the GR20, a two week bushwalk across the spine of Corsica, and after hiring a car were traipsing around the perimeter of the island in a clorkwisely direction for a few days in order to get a feel for the bits we'd missed on the walk, and we were then (7pm) enjoying a cocktail beverage to celebrate our final night when foolishly I checked the geohashes.

And what an opportunity - a geohash 2.3kms from us, right on the highway... and we had a car!

After a brief discussion over whether our parking space was too good and we should walk instead, we thought, 'stuff it' and just drove.

A few hairy hairpins through Eustachian tube-like European streets got us onto the highway and within no time (not actually true) we were parking 300m past the hash and backwalking to it.

Reached! Some photos taken, and back to the car. Some twists and turns and we were back to our original parking spot, but a few across. We are currently celebrating our success at an Australian-themed bar perched on the edge of this fort city, drinking more cocktails.
