Plans

Choose the first of two options:

1. Wimp out in order to save time and drive to the hashpoint before work.

2. Tough it out and run/walk to the hashpoint because it's really close.

Expedition

I picked up a hitch-hiker before I left! She was visiting her family for the weekend and also wanted a ride to Jerusalem. I told her that I was doing "a random hike of the day" on my way to work and if she joined we'd have a stop to make.

I drove into Emunim. It's a nice town. My hitchhiker, for likely clear reasons, decided to stay in the car. I left the window open for her.

From here, I was extremely lucky. Usually when I have to cross through someone's front yard at 7:00 in the morning I come to the conclusion that it would be a bad idea to even ask them to enter their field because it's 7:00 in the morning. At that moment, the owner of the house was driving out of his driveway. I explained to him that "the random hike of the day" falls in the field over there. He more or less understood that I wanted to wander around his wheat field and was cool with me entering. He warned me about the dog and left.

I walked into the yard toward the wheat field keeping my distance from the dog. The trek across the field led me to storage area for date palms (kind of strange that they were in barrels and not in the ground) and then onto another wheat field. Dogs barked at me the whole way, but it was quite easy. I screenshotted, selfied, and returned the way I came.

My hitch-hiker was safe and sound and we drove on to Jerusalem.
