The Three Drowned Rats (TDR) and Waltraud.

Location

Neustift im Stubaital near Obere Bacherwandalm

Participants

Plans

As the point is not far from the path... walk up to the hut and find the hashpoint.

Expedition

The first thing right after leaving the car was to check out the playground in Klaus Äuele. The flying foxy thing was thrilling!! 1-0 started darlingly and ended up soaking his butt in the creek below.

We hiked up the mountain, some mushrooms interrupted our path till we ended up in steep, wet, slippery and rocky terrain. Some mountain skilled skeletons lined the non-existing path and told of the danger of the wilderness. As we reached a path again and made our way to the alm, we had to cross two swollen mountain streams with missing or ramshackle bridges. Kariokes shoes started drinking more and more fresh water. Finally we reached the Bacherwandalm. Hungry, thirsty we were ready for a break but no one came across as we read the weird quotes on the walls. Our plan to eat Kaiserschmarren failed miserably. so we carried on uphill and started to eat things we found on the path. including zirmzapfn, blaubeer, moosbeer, heidelbeer, schwarzbeer, rauschbeer and some preislbeer. We reached the Obere Bacherwandalm und were happy it's only another 150m to the hash. As we entered the alpenrosy forest, it got heavily wet. We swam the last meters through the bushes, nearly lost a leg in a hole of rumpelwichte. FINALLY the hashzirbe appeared majestic and crooked in the fog.
