It was raining this morning, and it was rather chilly. But the hashpoint looked promising and I had no other appointments, so I decided to visit this one. I went there by train: first the Sprinter service from Delft to Rotterdam, then an Intercity train to Amersfoort, followed by another Sprinter to reach Harderwijk. All of this took about two hours. Then I rented a bicycle at the train station and rode towards the hash, which was located on the other side of Lake Veluwe. This is a narrow lake that separates the "new lands" of the Flevopolder from the "old lands" of Gelderland province. As you may or may not know, nearly the entire province of Flevoland consists of land that was reclaimed from the sea in the 1950s and 1960s, hence the "new" bit. The hash was conveniently located on a patch of grass next to the bike lane. I took some pictures and then rode towards a small building that you could climb to get a nice view of the surroundings. After taking some pictures I rode back to the old city of Harderwijk to visit its museums. Then I rode back to the train station, returned the bike and went home using the same route I used to get there.
