Plans

Do some geoaching in the Harz-Mountains and visit todays geohash as well.

Expedition

Since my wife has some relatives in the Harz, we drive over there a few times each year. Since I really don't enjoy sitting around and drink some coffee, I normally do some wandering in the beautiful mountains of this area. Today's hash was only some 20 kilometers away from where we had to go to, so I dropped my wife at her family, and drove to Thale to do this short hike to the hash.

The weather wasn't that good - it was raining most of the time, the sky was gray and it still was a little windy after all of the recent storms. I found a good parking lot and walked down a pretty steep trail, where a lot of wild boars must exist, since the entire path was demolished by them! But luckily, I only encountered some deers on my way down. At the lowest point, I had to take a right turn and it was going up - pretty steep again... But after a few hundred meters I reached the hash and had no problems at all to locate it - it was directly left from the path, an old tree stump it was.

After taking some pics, I decided to continue the path way up high, and to walk a few hundred meters along the main road, to get back to my car without going the same path through the woods again. All in all, this was a nice one to do!
