Expedition

My friend is moving from Tampa Bay, Florida to Denver, Colorado and I was asked if I wanted to join him for the drive. I met him in Atlanta in the evening of the 6th but there weren't any readily available hashes the first couple days of driving.

This morning as we were leaving Hays, Kansas, I was excited to see a possible hash that was likely reachable. Not only a mile off the highway, but also just off the road on the edge of a field. I was thinking it might be posted but very likely I could still get within the Circle of Uncertainty.

I told my friend about the game and he was interested in trying this out and it would break up the drive. Additionally, in the next Graticule over, there was another hash that was just outside a cemetery so this was potentially the start of a Double Hash! You can find our second expedition here.

Easily finding the exit for Quinter, we just had to turn right off the exit ramp and go straight to the hash. We found the hash next to a cornfield and no posted signs. It was ok because we were able to reach the hash standing on the side of the road without having to go into the field anyway.

With not much to see, we got a few pictures and were back on our way.

I was pleased to add a new Graticule to my list and even happier a couple hours later when I checked the Graticule page and realized these were Virgin!
