Plans

Luke's plans were to take a drive to the hashpoint, call Gabe, and call Luke's father along the way.

Expedition

Once in the car, Luke learned that Gabe was temporarily unavailable. Luke's father was only available for about 10 minutes. Alas, some music in the car was the solution.

The drive was about 30 minutes. Luke and Emily pulled into the apartment complex and parked. The hash was easy to walk up to, but other than that there was not much to see at the apartments.

The duo continued on to a nearby nature trail, and Emily seemed keen on a walk. On the walk, they encountered some chalk "discussion", and a trail that was dedicated to painted rocks. There were hundreds of painted rocks and Luke wished they had more time to enjoy them all. But the sun was setting, the wind picking up, and the rustling leaves grew ever spookier. The pair turned the corner and walked down the path back to the car, when suddenly they were stopped in their tracks by a small snake. Emily was fully ready to attack the snake, but Luke wisely talked her out of it. Then, safely back at the car they headed home.
