Today's coordinates were in the small town "Nahe", just a few meters beneath the street. And they seemed reachable, as they lay on a gateway to a house in second row. The weather forecast predicted rain in the afternoon, but in the moment it was dry.

Because of this, I decided to use my road-bike and to start the 2021'th season of road-biking. I prepared my racing bicycle, filled a bottle with water, grabbed the other equipment and was soon on the way.

The route followed the B432 in northeast direction. Beside this street there is a cycle track, which state is quite good. After cycling 17 km, I reached the coordinates at a quarter to 12 (MESZ). The small gateway led to a woodworking-shop, but I didn't have to go far. The hash lays between some carved hares and an owl at the corner of the street and the next bushes beneath the gateway. My GPSr showed 2m distance from the hash as I took photos.

After that, I decided to cycle another 2,5 km to the sea in "Itzstedt". There I had a short break before I rode back home. This direction (southwest) was a lot harder than the forward run. Now I noticed that there was a really strong headwind. Driving intensly and in smaller gears as usual, I reached home, before the rain started. :-)

I was less lucky than MikroKosmos with the rain …

I checked the bus schedule to Nahe, but there were absolutely none, so I had to cycle all the way. Fortunately, I could take the Korl-Barmstedt-Weg, a repurposed railway line that I often cycle and that leads from near my home straight to Nahe. I cycled the 12.5 km in half an hour, and it started to rain on the way. I cycled behind someone that I thought could be MikroKosmos for some time before arriving, but unbeknownst to me he'd been there 2.5 h prior. I was relieved to find the hash easily accessible at the beginning of a private driveway just 5.5 m from the town's main street. I took pictures in the rain, ate a Berliner that I'd brought, looked around a bit, and set off again. The rain picked up a bit on my way back, and I had strong headwind the entire time. The return journey thus took significantly longer, and I arrived home 1:20 h after leaving, with my trousers drenched by rain and my shirt soaked in sweat. I therefore claim my third Drowned Rat achievement.
