Expedition
It had become colder in central Spain, with temperature peaking at 12°C that afternoon. The air was crystal clear, giving the landscape razor-sharp edges (here it might have contributed that I had recently cleaned my helmet visor).
The geohash was relatively close, an about three quarters of an hour motorcycle ride. I knew the route well, passing by the scenic city of El Escorial. So, I went for it.
Unfortunately, I was stopped by a gate, like in my previous expedition 2021-10-26_40_-4, thus I had two failed expeditions in a row.
Anyway, it was a nice ride. On the way back, I stopped on the El Escorial bypass for photos. The snow covered mounains in the back are some tens of kilometers away and much higher than the green hills in the foreground. The monastery is really great. The interior can be visited for a little fee, but even from the outside, the magnificent buildings and beautiful gardens are quite an experience.
