Location

on a paddock for horses in Lutzhorn, Schleswig-Holstein

Participants

Expedition

Took the train to Barmstedt in the late afternoon and cycled 5 km to the hash, which lay on a grassy paddock for horses surrounded by multiple fences. From the street, I saw some people riding on a nearby paddock and wasn't sure how to approach the hash. I went the other side of the enclosure, where I had a good view of the hash and the house right next to it, and a white mare promptly came up to me. I patted her, but she did not seem interested and went to eat something from the manger. I couldn't currently see anyone on the pasture on in the garten behind it, so I crossed three fences onto the paddock, whose horses, also crowding near the trough (separated by another fence), stared at me intently. Knowing that I was in full view of the street and the house and could be spotted at any time, I hurriedly crossed the 60 m to the hash, stirring the horses. I cancelled the hashdance (resulting in an inaccurate position), took the usual photos and quickly made off to my bike. Just as I stood there, a girl rode by (on a horse, of course); she definitely would've seen me stand on the pasture had I still been there. After slowly cycling back to the station, I only had to wait a few minutes for the train back.
