Plans

Walk to the hash directly from my home, since it are only some 750 meters!

Expedition

Early february, I moved into a new town, much closer to where I work. My house is for sale now and I have returned to renting a smaller apartment - suits all my needs and I feel satisfied here. March 8th I noticed that the geohash was only some 250 meters from my new place! Of course, I got exited (never had a hash so near - it almost felt like a couch potato hash) but had to let that one go, since it had been terrible weather - snow had fallen all day long and I couldn't distinguish between field or meadow under 20 cm of snow... I didn't want to simply walk onto a field to find a geohash and get in trouble with my new neighbours - who mostly are farmers that have to care about their fields and earn their livings solely with agriculture... bad luck - no problem - it's just a game! (as the snow had gone one week later, it turned out to be a meadow, so it would have been possible - well, what the heck)

Yesterday I noticed todays hash point - only 750 meters away from my apartment! I got excited again! Had to do my early shift and after that I drove to my house to get rid off a lot of garbage I don't need no longer and drove to the dumpsite with two collegues and disposed 1200 kg of old furniture, rubbish and all sorts of trash. It had been raining all day and when I got home, I was pretty soaked and exhausted. Took a shower, drank two beers, felt good and waited for a moment, where it would stop raining and I could go for a little walk. At some point it seemed dry and I got on the way...

The hash was on the edge of a forest, near a field and I got there in 10 minutes. Located the hash at a small border stone and whilst taking proof it started raining again. But since I had reached the hash, it didn't bother me and I got back home pretty wet but also utterly satisfied - an easy hash, right in front of my housedoor so to speak!
