Expedition

In the morning, I took the train from Osnabrück to Hengelo and got myself a Holland Travel Ticket. Despite its name, it is valid in the entire Netherlands.

From Hengelo, I took the train via Amersfoort to Den Haag, rented a bike there, and cycled to the beach. I saw lots of embassies on the way, including the German one. Since it was right next to the Angolan one, I will assume that they group the embassies by flag color combination.

When I arrived at the beach, it was quite windy. I was still hoping that the coordinates would be on dry land or only in centimeter-deep water. After all, high tide is still two hours away! I did bring Crocs to wear on the beach, since they can get wet, and wet they got. Despite me bravely wading into the water a few meters, I did not get closer than 83 meters to the coordinates.

After admitting that I wasn't going to reach this Geohash, I walked back to the bike on my way to 2023-10-11 52 5 in Zeist.

Ribbons

Not quite a my kingdom for a boat consolation prize, since I knew the North Sea was there, I just didn't think it would be there.
