Plans

Take the bus via Bramsche/Zentrum to Ueffeln/Riesau, walk the rest of the distance, same way back, easy peasy. What could go wrong?

Expedition

In the afternoon, I took the bus to Bramsche/Zentrum. The bus was late, and I missed my connection.

To get closer to the coordinates, I decided to go to Hesepe instead and take a longer walk from there. I would miss the bus I had planned to take back, since it was the last one, but I could walk back to Hesepe and figure out my options from there. For that, I had to walk to Bramsche's train station first, which I did. There, I got on a bus which did not announce its next stops.

Before I knew it, I was past Hesepe and in Rieste. At this point, I abandoned the idea of reaching the coordinates and instead worried if I was going to make it back home.

The bus from Neuenkirchen to Vörden

I decided to stay on the bus until Neuenkirchen since I had better options there getting back to Osnabrück. In Neuenkirchen, I had to wait almost an hour for my next bus, so I did some grocery shopping.

From Neuenkirchen, I took a bus to Vörden/Koppelstraße, on which two fellow travellers, a brother and sister, befriended me. They insisted I come to their house instead of waiting twenty minutes in the cold for my next bus.

A cup of tea later, I thanked them for their hospitality and took a bus back home to Osnabrück.
