Really close to trainstation Veenendaal - de Klomp, right outside an office next to the road. Very reachable I think. Planning to be here early in the morning, arriving at the Trainstation around 8 AM.

Expedition

When I saw the hash, I knew I had to grab it. Very close to a trainstation that is one stop away from Utrecht Central Station. Sadly, I had to work today, but as I was determined to do this expedition I left my house at 7 AM. Taking the bus to Utrecht CS and then the train to Veenendaal de Klomp, I realized that most people would be going to work around now and that I was surrounded by people who were not on an adventure. How boring.

I walked into Veenendaal and enjoyed looking at the people and the houses here. Within 3 minutes, I had left the town and was walking on a road with a field on both sides. From here, I could already see the hash. On my way there, I found a little park-like area, where someone had made a bee-hotel, for insects to live in and had made a small garden-like....thing that was fenced in.

As I neared the hash, it confirmed what I had feared. The hash was not on dry land, but in the water. However, there was a sewage pipe in the water ON THE HASH. So I did what any geohasher would do, and I walked onto the pipe and got my GPS to confirm the location.

On the way back I found another bee-hotel and a cool slug. Nothing fancy, but it was nice to be out in nature (somewhat). All that I needed to do now was find my way back to the station and go to my very boring job....Oh well. A nice, easy and successful expedition. Hooray!
