The Reykjavik graticule is at latitude 64, longitude -21. It completely encloses the city of Reykjavik and the neighboring comunities of Mosfellsbær, Kópavogur, and Garðabær. Other neighboring communities included are the majority of Hafnarfjörður and Seltjarnarnes, and the eastern part of Álftanes. The graticule is almost entirely land, but includes Þingvallavatn, the largest lake in Iceland, and the eastern reaches of Faxaflói (a bay). A considerable part of the graticule is mountainous and challenging.
