Introduction

After reading the XKCD cartoon introducing the idea of geohashing I wanted to get a GPS unit and start geohashing and geocaching. Finally, late in the summer of 2008 I purchased a Garmin eTrex Venture Cx. Now I can join in on the fun.

by accessing the (35, -106) geohash at a restricted Kirtland AFB site on 2008-09-22.
